Learning Objective
I took Chinese during my first semester at Le Moyne College. It was a beginner's course so I learned basic words, phrases, and sentences. I would like to be fluent in the language in the future, so I decided that I would teach myself more than what I had learned in the class. This includes writing characters and speaking.
The Steps I Took
In order to enhance my knowledge in the Chinese language, I used the app Duolingo (see page Digital Tool creations to see how the app works) as well as also watching a series of YouTube videos. I used Duolingo in the beginning, to learn some vocab, grammar, and spelling. It helped me understand how each word has a different accent to explain different meanings. YouTube taught me how each word should be said and how to write the characters
